Privacy Policy
Plain version: we collect what we need to quote your event and run your booth, we don't sell it, and you can ask us to delete it.
What we collect
When you use a form on this site we collect the fields you fill in — your name, email, event date, venue or city, the booth you're interested in, and anything you type in the notes box.
When you press send, our form handler also records the time, the IP address the form came from, and the approximate location that address points to (city, province and country). We use these to filter out spam and to see roughly where enquiries come from. They never appear in the confirmation email we send you.
At an event, our booths capture photos and video of guests who choose to use them. If a guest asks the booth to text or email them a copy, the booth collects that phone number or email address for that purpose. Where an activation includes opt-in data capture for a corporate client, guests are told at the station what they are opting into, and that list goes to that client — it is their data, collected with consent, under Canada's anti-spam legislation.
We do not take payment on this website, so no card details ever reach it.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people find useful. It records things like which pages were viewed and roughly where in the world the visit came from. You can block it with any standard browser setting or extension and the site will work normally.
Who else sees it
Form submissions are delivered to us by email through our form handler. Photo galleries are hosted by our booth software provider. Analytics data sits with Google. That is the whole list — we don't sell your information, and we don't hand it to advertisers.
How long we keep it
Enquiries stay in our email for as long as we might reasonably need them. Event galleries stay up so you and your guests can find your photos afterwards — if you want yours taken down, say so and it comes down. Submissions our spam filter holds back are deleted automatically after 90 days.
Your photos
If you'd rather a photo of you didn't appear in our gallery or on our social accounts, email us with roughly when and where it was taken and we'll remove it. You don't need a reason.
Asking for a copy, or deletion
Email hello@picbooth.ca and tell us what you want — a copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion. We'll action it and confirm.
