Our organization has worked with PicBooth for multiple events using both their photobooths and DrawBot activation. They were professional, punctual and went above and beyond! We had great feedback from guests and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to add something fun, new, engaging and exciting to their events.
Photo booth info for venues and coordinators
Space, power, load-in and insurance, on one page.
When a couple or a client books Pic Booth in your room, this is what we need from you and what we handle ourselves. The short version: about 8×8 feet, one standard outlet, 40 minutes before guests arrive, and a certificate of insurance naming your venue, free.

What a photo booth needs from your space
Everything else comes in our cases. If a room can host a cake table and a DJ, it can almost always host a booth.
- Floor: about 8×8 feet per booth, 10×10 if you want room for a line
- Power: one standard 110V outlet within about 20 feet
- Ceiling: 8 feet of clearance, for the 360 booth only
- Wi-Fi: not needed, we bring our own hotspot
- The spot: marked with a sign or a strip of floor tape before we arrive
- Props: a small table, if you have one spare
- Your staff: none needed; an attendant runs every staffed booth
- Paperwork: a certificate of insurance naming the venue, at no charge
How the day runs on your side
Four touchpoints, and only the first one needs anything from you.
We confirm the room with you
Load-in door, power and the exact spot, checked with the coordinator rather than guessed from the couple's floor plan. The certificate of insurance and a load-in plan reach you ahead of the event.
About 40 minutes, done before guests
We prefer to come in earlier in the day when the room allows, so the booth is built and test prints are out before anyone walks past it. Setup is ours from the first case to the last cable.
An attendant stays with the booth
Guests, props, prints and the line are handled for the booked hours. Your team keeps running the room instead of reloading a printer or untangling a feather boa.
Teardown is ours too
When the booked time ends we pack down and carry everything out, props included. Guests get their photos from an online gallery, so nothing waits behind at your front desk.
Each booth, by the floor it takes
Numbers to drop straight into a floor plan. If a corner is tight, send a photo of it and we will tell you which booth fits.
Magic Mirror, DSLR and Retro booths
The standing booths. Each takes about 8×8 feet with the backdrop and prop table; the Retro booth is an open-air wooden cabinet, so it reads as decor in a heritage room.
360 video booth
8×8 feet at minimum and 10×10 ideally, on a level floor, because the arm sweeps a full circle. We confirm the footprint against your room before the date. How the 360 works.
Magazine cover booth
The cover-shoot enclosure is 7 by 6 by 6 feet, so plan about 8×8 with queueing room and an outlet nearby.
Draw Bots
Each robot arm station takes about 8×8 feet and one outlet, and we can run up to three. The arm faces the room, so the station works as a show from across it. About the Draw Bots.
Audio guest book
A vintage phone on a decorated table with linen and signage. It works best somewhere quieter than the dance floor, near the guest book or the entrance.
Video guest book kiosk
The kiosk stands on its own. We place it where the light is kind and the speakers are far enough away to hear people.
Professional, punctual, and booked again

What coordinators ask before the date
Does Pic Booth carry liability insurance?
Yes. Every booking is covered by commercial general liability insurance, and we send a certificate of insurance naming your venue as additionally insured, at no charge. Send the exact wording your venue needs and it goes on the certificate.
How much space and power does a photo booth need?
About 8×8 feet per booth, 10×10 if you want room for a line, and one standard 110V outlet within about 20 feet. The 360 booth also needs 8 feet of ceiling clearance and a level floor.
How early do you arrive to set up?
About 40 minutes before the booth opens, and earlier in the day when the room allows, so we can set up and test before guests are in it. Tell us your load-in door and times and we work to them.
Do you need the venue's Wi-Fi?
No. We bring our own hotspot. Printing never needs a connection; texting and emailing photos uses ours, so your network and password stay yours. More in do photo booths need Wi-Fi on site.
What does the venue need to provide?
The outlet, the spot marked with a sign or floor tape, and a small table for props if you have one spare. The booth, backdrop, props, printer and attendant all come with us.
Can the photo booth be set up outdoors?
Yes, on a patio, lawn or under a tent, with level ground, power within reach, shade or cover over the booth and a plan for weather. We confirm all of it with you before the day.
Is someone with the booth for the whole event?
For staffed booths, yes: an attendant runs the booth for the booked hours, so your team is never pulled in to help. Snap & Go, our self-serve division, is guest-run: it is dropped off and set up during the day, runs until 11pm and is picked up the same night.
Can Pic Booth go on our preferred vendor list?
We would like that. Download the one-page venue sheet for your binder, and email hello@picbooth.ca with your vendor requirements. We send the insurance certificate and anything else your list asks for.
Building a vendor binder?
The venue sheet puts the space, power, insurance and contact details on one printable page, with a QR code back to this one.
Before you book, the honest reading
Do Photo Booths Need WiFi On Site?
Printing never needs WiFi. Texting and emailing photos does. What breaks without a connection, what does not, and what to ask your venue first.
When Should the Photo Booth Open at a Wedding?
Cocktail hour or after dinner? The two windows that work, why the middle of speeches never does, and how long to run the booth for your guest count.
How to Light an Indoor Photo Booth (Even in Dim Halls)
Dim halls, coloured uplighting, flash vs continuous light and backdrop distance: how to light an indoor photo booth so faces still look good at 10pm.
