We worked with PicBooth at the JUNO Awards Official After Party in support of MusiCounts and the experience was nothing short of AMAZING. The guests were so happy. … MusiCounts would 10000000% work with them again.
Draw Bots in the Universus booth at ACE 2026
The arm was the booth display.
October 15, 2026. ACE, the Automotive Conference & Expo, filled Fallsview Casino Resort with dealers, OEM reps and suppliers for its keynote day and trade show. Universus Media Group booked two of our Draw Bots for their booth: visitors drawn live, holding a Universus flag beside a convertible, on a card carrying the Universus name and a QR code back to them.

A shared 10×10 at a dealer show has one job
Universus is a communications agency: design and production, creative strategy and brand building, public relations and research. Their ACE booth was a 10×10 shared with a standee, a cocktail table and a TV, on a floor where every exhibitor wanted the same dealers' attention. The booth had to win the first few seconds, then give the team something to talk about.
- Stop dealers walking the aisle without a sales pitch
- Turn the wait into a conversation with the Universus team
- Hand over something with the Universus name on it that people keep
- Bring home a list of visitors who opted in on their own
- Run the full show day, 9:15 to 4:15
- Match the room: a car show, so a car on every card
Two Draw Bots, facing the aisle
Visitors stepped up to the tablet, lined their head up with the outline on screen, then watched a robot arm draw them: holding a Universus flag, leaning on a convertible. Same car on every card, a different face every time. Universus sent their logo; we built the card art around it before the show.
Why it works in a trade show booth
- A moving arm reads from across the aisle, and people stop to watch strangers get drawn
- Two minutes in line is two minutes of conversation with the exhibitor's team
- The card is a business card nobody throws out, QR code included
- Two bots and one check-in screen keep the line short when the aisle fills up
How a drawing becomes a lead
A trade show booth is judged by the list it brings home. A Draw Bot station trades a portrait for contact details the visitor is glad to hand over. At ACE, visitors typed in their own details at the tablet without being pushed, so every name on the Universus list is a real opt-in, and the QR code on every card pointed back to Universus as well.
Check in at the tablet
The visitor types a name and an email so the digital copy of their portrait has somewhere to go. They ask for it, so the opt-in is CASL-compliant.
Get drawn in the open
The camera frames them and the arm draws them on the exhibitor's card, one to three minutes, with the next few visitors watching.
Talk while it draws
The exhibitor's team gets a few unhurried minutes with someone who chose to stop. That is the conversation a booth is paid to start.
Follow up after the show
Card in hand, digital copy in their inbox, and the opt-in list delivered to the exhibitor as a CSV, ready for the CRM.
What visitors carried down the aisle
Real cards from the Universus booth: their tagline across the top, their logo and QR code across the bottom, and a portrait drawn live in between.

The same bots drew the JUNO After Party
What an exhibitor is actually buying
Hundreds of portraits a day
Each bot draws 20 to 60 portraits an hour, depending on the art. We size the number of bots to your show hours and expected traffic before the show, not during it.
Arenas, award shows, expo floors
The same bots drew 400 fans at the River Lions home opener and worked the JUNO After Party. A trade show aisle is a calmer room.
Staffed for every show hour
Two of our crew ran the Universus station from setup to teardown, so the exhibitor's team spent the day talking to dealers instead of minding a machine.
About Draw Bots at trade shows
Why put a Draw Bot in a trade show booth?
A booth gets a few seconds to stop someone walking the aisle. A robot arm drawing a stranger does that without a word from your team, the small crowd it gathers gives your people an easy opening, and every visitor leaves holding a card with your name on it.
How does a Draw Bot capture leads?
Visitors type a name and email at the check-in tablet so their digital copy has somewhere to go. Because they asked for something in return, it is a CASL-compliant opt-in, and the exhibitor receives the full list as a CSV after the show. At ACE, visitors entered their own details without being pushed, so every name on the Universus list chose to be there.
Will two Draw Bots fit in a 10×10 booth?
Yes. At ACE two bots and a check-in tablet shared a 10×10 with the exhibitor's standee, a cocktail table and a TV. We plan the layout with you before the show so the arms face the aisle and nothing blocks your own display.
Can the card art match our brand and the show?
Yes. Universus wanted their flag in every portrait and a car beside every visitor, because ACE is a dealer show. Send your logo and any campaign line about two weeks out and we design and proof the card before load-in.
Do you work trade shows outside Niagara Falls?
Yes. Convention centres, hotels and expo halls across Niagara, Hamilton, Burlington, Mississauga and Toronto. We are based in St. Catharines and staff the station for every show hour you book. More options for exhibitors are on our trade show booth attractions page.
Exhibiting this season?
The Draw Bots from the Universus booth at ACE work convention centres, hotels and expo halls across Niagara, Hamilton and the GTA.
Show, dates, booth size? Tell us the floor.
Send the show, the dates and your booth size. We'll tell you what's open, how many bots the floor needs, and what the station needs to bring home. If one bot is enough, we'll say so.
