We worked with PicBooth at the JUNO Awards Official After Party in support of MusiCounts and the experience was nothing short of AMAZING. The guests were so happy. … MusiCounts would 10000000% work with them again.
A robot draws your guests, live, on your letterhead
Everyone stops to watch a machine draw a stranger.
A camera takes the photo, an arm draws the portrait in one to three minutes, and the guest walks away holding paper with your logo on it. The crowd that forms around it is the part a photo booth can't do — and the email they typed in to get their digital copy is the part your marketing team actually wanted.

Canada's biggest music night, and a sold-out arena
Two rooms with nothing in common except the requirement: keep hundreds of people engaged without becoming a lineup.
JUNO Awards Official After Party
Draw Bots ran alongside a Magic Mirror for 1,000+ guests over 3.5 hours, in support of MusiCounts, with JUNO branding on every sheet.
Niagara River Lions home opener
Fans drawn as basketball players on team-branded sheets, all night, in an arena concourse during a banner raising and a ring ceremony.
Four things a print in someone's hand does that a banner doesn't
Your logo goes home and stays up
Portraits print on paper carrying your logo, event name and campaign line. A photo print ends up in a bag; a drawing of someone ends up on a fridge or an office wall, which is a very different amount of time in front of your brand.
An opt-in people are happy to give
Guests type a name and email to get their digital copy — a CASL-compliant opt-in traded willingly for something they want. The full list arrives as a CSV after the event, ready for your CRM.
The arm starts, the crowd forms
People stop walking when a machine starts drawing. That queue is visible from across a trade-show floor and does the recruiting for you, which is why the station belongs where passers-by can see it working.
Guests post it themselves
The digital copy can be an animation of the portrait being drawn stroke by stroke. People share that without being asked, and your branding travels with it — reach you didn't buy.
Four steps, about three minutes
Guest checks in
Name and email at the station, so we know where to send the digital copy. That's your data capture, and it takes about fifteen seconds.
Our attendant shoots
A trained photographer positions the guest and takes the frame. Software turns it into line art for the arm to follow.
The arm draws it
One to three minutes on your branded paper, in the open, while people watch. This is the part that gets filmed.
They take it home
Print handed over, digital copy emailed. Your team gets the full guest list and the event analytics afterwards.
Or they skip the queue
At high-traffic events guests scan a QR code and submit a photo from their own phone, so the camera station never becomes the bottleneck.
And the room watches
Each finished portrait can cast to a big screen as an animation, visible across the hall — which pulls in the people who hadn't noticed yet.
The JUNO After Party, in their words
Real sheets from real events
Guests pick realistic portraits or caricatures. Both print branded; caricature mode tends to win at parties and trade shows, realistic mode at galas and VIP rooms.

- Print sizes: 4×6, 5×7, 6×8, 8×10 and 8.5×11 inches

Quoted to your event, not off a rate card
Guest count, hours, how many bots, and how much branding work — those four things move a Draw Bot number too far for a published price to be honest. So we don't publish one. Tell us the room and you get a real figure, usually the same day.
- Deposit is a flat $100, same as everything we rent
- Balance due 14 days before the event
- Deposits transfer for 18 months if the date moves
- Travel is included, never added afterwards
Draw Bot rental, answered plainly
What is a Draw Bot?
A robotic arm that draws a one-of-a-kind portrait of a guest in real time. A camera captures them, software generates the line art, and the arm draws it on paper carrying your branding. It takes one to three minutes and it happens in the open — that's the point. It's a live performance that leaves a keepsake behind.
How many portraits can it produce per hour?
Roughly 20 to 60 per hour on a single bot, depending on size and complexity. For large floors we run several in parallel — the same approach we used at the JUNO Awards After Party for 1,000+ guests.
Does it capture guest data?
Yes. Guests enter a name and email to receive their digital copy — a CASL-compliant opt-in given willingly in exchange for something they want. You receive the full list as a CSV after the event, ready to import.
How much space does a station need?
About 8×8 feet and a standard power outlet. Our crew handles setup and teardown. Position it where passers-by can see the arm working — the crowd that gathers is half the activation.
Can portraits carry our logo or a sponsor's?
Every sheet prints with your logo, event name and any campaign line, and the digital copy is branded to match. Sponsor marks work identically. Send artwork about two weeks out so the layout can be designed and proofed before load-in.
What does it cost?
Quoted per event — guest count, hours, number of bots and branding work move the number too much for a published price to mean anything. Deposit is a flat $100, balance 14 days before, and travel is included. See the full rate card for everything we do publish.
Do Draw Bots work at weddings?
They do — cocktail hour, mostly, with guests walking back to their tables holding a portrait of themselves. That has its own page: Draw Bots for weddings.
Where do you provide Draw Bot activations?
St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto and the wider GTA. We're based in St. Catharines, and travel is included, never added afterwards.
Trade show, gala, or launch?
Send the date and the expected headcount and you'll have a real number, usually the same day.
